All right, this one should work a lot better for you guys running 32bit. I tested it on a VirtualPC and this one seems to work just fine on Vista32SP1. We also included a restore for those of you with screwed up systems after running the beta1. Please note that if your system is FrankenGlazzed, beta2 will accuse your system files of being corrupt. While this is true, just click on the “patch anyway” button and reboot.
I installed a Vista32RTM on my VirtualPC, patched it using VistaGlazz 1.0 and then upgraded to SP1. Next I ran beta1 and experienced the whole ‘Vista is in pain, please wait while it keeps flipping styles’ problem. After this, I ran beta2, used “patch anyway” and rebooted, everything was fine after that. I unpatched to get to the SP1 original state and then repatched to ensure patching would work good for the clean SP1 versions. I experienced no problems at all, so I’m pretty sure everything works well.
Again, please do not feel obliged to download and use this beta as we will probably release a final (fully tested) version including a setup somewhere this week. We still need to run a full test to cover all scenarios so we can be sure it works 100%.

I must say .. It works flawlessly .. No complains or errors of
any kind .. I would say that this one could go for a final release ..

Tried it, unfortunately it wrecked my Aero. Windows is in basic mode now. If I try to start VG Beta2 again to undo the changes, the program locks and nothing happens. Cant undo anything.
Can you provide a way for a recovery of the system files manually?

Small problem, but the icons in my favorites pane and history in IE have disappeared (not just the ones for the different favourites, the folder icons too)
I’m not sure if this is to do with VistaGlazz and it probably isn’t, as I also undid Topshell (put the original shell32.dll back in System32), so that might be the cause…
ok it works fine..but eversince i installed…the occasional blue screen happens now…before the blue screen of death just appeared when i was turning off..now it just appears wehn im just on normal applications.

hi friends. i have problem when i install vistaglazz my windows theme be come classic view. and after i cant change my windows theme . when i try to change theme i go to parsonalize theme i got one popup window message
“windows host process (rundll32) has stopped working

ok when i was using it it worked perfectly fine…so good job…but i dont think its like where it should be yet…the one before sp1…was perfect like it just patched the theme and it was like nothing…and this one doesnt have that feel. Oh and sometimes when u open a program like IE7 or something when the patch is on…that little effect of where it shows it maximizing is alittle slow and i have 4 gb of ram and 3.0 processor and a really fast nvid card…it shouldnt do that…but it only sometimes does it….so yeh.

Didn’t work for me. Could launch anything. Went back to old windows classic appearence and couldn’t change it back. Meaby was it a virus that fused with the file while downloading? Or meaby was it the VistaGlazz SP1 Beta.

I had same rundll32 error with shahzad. But I still can show in aero just I can not change other theme and screen saver. Even system restore didnt work for it. Just waiting other solution for that.

Hey! I applied 1st the 1.0 patch on my SP1 (x86), and it totally messed up the things. (rundll32) ….and now I saw the new beta2. But now I can’t access the ‘themes’, only the coloring. Can I somehow turn it back to the original SP1?
I went ahead and downloaded beta2 and all went fine. Thank you soooo much. I have VistaUltimate sp1 32 bit.
