We’re back!

After a long and very satisfying trip we’re back in The Netherlands. Our main focus now is on a small update to VistaGlazz, making it even a bit more stable and we hope to introduce Vista SP2 compatibility very soon.

Update May 6th: for everyone who has the VistaGlazz keeps asking me to reboot problem. Please try the latest version from our website. In the reboot screen you’ll have a Problems? button that will aid you with that error.

I also noticed on YouTube and other websites that a lot of people still click on the first icon, reboot and then the second icon to patch both their system and their msstyle. Check the help, I threw a gimmick into 1.1. You can start by clicking on the patch style button and VistaGlazz will ask you if you want to patch everything at once.

Glad you’re back, there’s a lot of people waiting on a fix for the reboot issue… not that anyone is ungrateful of course ;)

Thanks all. It’s good to be back.

If you’re having problems with the reboot issue, please try our newest .exe from (CodeGazer mirror):

I’ve done a bit of a silent update two days ago, and am eager to see if this solves the problem. The other mirrors will soon offer this version as well (I haven’t given it a new file version, because it is a very small fix).

OK this is the same thing I seem to have, I downloaded this “little fix” version, but no fix, it still does the same thing, asking to quit or reboot. The other problem is I was going to just uninstall the thing and reinstall this one, but when you do that it says some patched files won’t be unpatched, to use the program first, well you can’t do any unpatching if it doesn’t go to the program. So I didn’t want to uninstall either. This needs a closer look.

hi! windows7 rc just came up. is it possible to apply vistaglazz on this os? i heard the final release of windows7 maybe by october?

need to know which file/files are this “patched” by this program so I can try and replace them and delete this program before attempting to reinstall. It will NOT correct installing this small fixed one.

    Two things:

    - To everyone with the reboot problem, please use the latest executable (released on May 6th 2009). A Problems? button should be there to assist you.

    - Feel free to uninstall VistaGlazz after patching your system. Your system will not be unpatched automaticly. You can reinstall VistaGlazz later on to unpatch if you like.

OK my friend, I know your doing what you can about this, however, I re downloaded this “fixed” version again and did what it Say’s.

I did the reboot first again, and opened the program, still got the same box with the now problem button and reboot button. Clicked on the problem button and selected the reboot/fix and let it reboot again. This did not fix the program,

I still can not open it to do any “un-patching” so I still don’t feel comfortable un-installing it.

I even tried this in safe mode, it does the same thing.

(btw: here’s my email if you want to contact me, remove the part after .com)

Windows7 is in dire need of your magic :)
Have you checked and seen how much work it will take to port it to windows 7 rc1? Id be interested to know if you are considering to undertake this or not.

man look homes, we need a “fix” for this “vista” one right now, I’m not concerned about any Win7 version right now, win 7 is still in rc state. I have it installed on a second system partition but it pretty much looks and works like my vista anyway.

If this keeps up we will all just uninstall ASAP when we get a working version and 4get the whole deal.

I’m not gona uninstall something that leaves my OS files “patched” and not knowing what they are. And I ain’t gona reinstall an older backup just for this silly thing when I’ve had a hell of a lot of updates and installs since I installed this thing.

I want this software to work and do what is say’s and keep it, but its gettin a bit crazy waitin for a repair of such a small program.

So just what is the deal?, is this one gona be repaired 1.1, or is this just gona be replaced altogether with this other one?

This kinda stuff can lead to a lot of other trouble when a lot of people’s systems are stuck in limbo over some piece of software, disclaimer’s or not.

Hmmm maybe it has something to do with using a windows 7 type style.

To use this style just copy and paste the Windows 7 folder to this location:

    C:\Windows\Resources\Themes

Then just click on the Windows 7.msstyle and apply the style.

I used this windows 7 style tweak to make my Vista look like W7

    but only maybe.

  22. 22 Hoody

Well the “maybe” turned out to be a big “nope” but I should have realized that because there are too many other people with this problem whom don’t use this tweak.

Sooooo back to what I said before, this thing needs to be “fixed”
