Yesterday we’ve finished updating the VistaGlazz patch core and it is now SP2 compatible. Normally that would be a very minor change, but we’ve decided to implement some long overdue upgrades to the patch process. I’m quite happy with the result, I might add.
We currently have an untested SP2 compatible version that *should* work, but given the past, eh, “issues” with our beta versions, we won’t release a beta this time. Next couple of days we’ll spend on testing the core application to make sure it will work without a hitch.
Besides the patch part of the application there are also some other things that need our attention. Yvo wants some minor UI modifications done and apparently some people are having a problem where VistaGlazz keeps asking to reboot the system. I’m not sure what the current status on that problem is, but it will have to be sorted out. Also, we might add some things from the feature request forum, please check again in a few days for new developments or subscribe to our RSS feed.

We’re finishing up the last tids and bits on the SP2 release. We’d love to bring you the new release as soon as possible, but hey we love your systems too and we wouldn’t want something to go wrong with it. Among SP2 support we’ve added speedier startup and hopefully no more endless reboot screens. I expect to release the new version on monday, but I’m not making any promises :) - Yvo

As knowledge is power, this update should add to your wisdom :). I’ve been firing up the VMs and things are looking quite good. I’m still having some problems with Vista SP2 x86, but I expect them to be resolved quite soon. Tomorrow might be a good day. - Yvo

Updated to Vista SP 2 today. Rebooted to the horror of default windows graphics. Oh the horror! Cant wait for the update. Thank you for all your hard work and development.
Please hurry with this. That was one heck of a surprise when I booted to find the basic theme on my computer.

Why dun u make a small release including only the SP2 upgrade now, and release the one wit all those suggestions and changes and stuff later? I agree with Outrage’s last comment, especially since aero will not even work (unless one uninstalls VG, I suppose). It really doesn’t make sense to hold up everything for additional features which can be added at any time. Just my opinion.

i think thats a great idea outrage, all i want is my theme back. i dont care what the GUI looks like or anything else fancy. i just want my theme back, lol. but im sure you guys are busting ass trying to figure this thing out, so props.

oh well, i found another fix for my problem. there is a patch for sp2 to enable themes. wasnt hard to google for.

How can I uninstall it after switching to SP2?

About spelling… I spell sum words like that but only if they can be under stood (sum, fo, dun, duz, etc…) So dun go tellin me I dunno how to spell

So Yvo jus said monday. In other words (By murphy’s law for making a schedule)it will prbly be rdy by friday or later.
Let’s all be patient. I really miss my themes, but the Aero theme isn’t that bad that we can’t wait a few days. Let them test and it will be ready before the end of next week.
I really love VG. It is great, but a program of this magnitude really requires testing. Also Yvo probably misses his themes as well, so he is not just working on this for us, but for himself as well.

Should I uninstall v1.1 before installing the next version for SP2? When I attempt to uninstall it tells me “Some of your system files are still patched. The uninstaller will not automatically unpatch your system. To unpatch your system, cancel the uninstaller and use VistaGlazz.” What should I do, click Continue or cancel?
