It’s great to see
the amount of feedback we get on VistaGlazz 1.2. Thank you very much for that. I’ve done another re-release of the 1.2 version. In this build I’ve made the following changes:
- Diagnostic screen is now also available when you press F2 in VistaGlazz
- The help file contains a small description of the diagnostic screen
- Smarter Problems? button on the reboot screen, should be able to fix more errors
Feel free to download the latest version from here: VistaGlazzSetup.exe.
If you don’t have any problems there is no real reason to update your version.

Perhaps add the option to run Diagnostic if user clicks the “Problems?” button that shows up if user runs VistaGlazz before rebooting after patching?
visual styles work but browseui and shellstyle are not working properly for me. how do i fix?

When VistaGlazz shows the reboot screen after patching the system files, the Problems? button isn’t available. The Problems? button is only available when VistaGlazz determines a reboot is necessary at VistaGlazz startup. F2 should make it quite easy for anyone to enter the diagnostic screen as they please.

VistaGlazz doesn’t contain the browseui and shellstyle patches. Please refer to forums like WinMatrix and AeroXP.org for information on how to patch/use these.
Hi! I´m running vista basic sp1, I patched it several months ago and worked fine, until a repair from REGISTRY BOOSTER 2 returned to original state everything, I opened again vista glazz and makes me to reboot and is making this screen (Please reboot) every time I do it and run Vista glazz. Can give me any help?
^click on the “PROBLEMS?” button - (it’ll reboot)
when you get back, click the VistaGlazz shortcut and it’ll show in the normal window… i.e. the one with 2 patch links/shortcuts, contact, help icons…
then patch your files like how you do it in the past.
just not sure if this version supports Vista Basic (using Vista Business X86 here)… CodeGazer?

Unfortunately Vista Home Basic is not supported and will not be supported in the future. VistaGlazz might bring transparency to Vista Home Basic, something Microsoft wouldn’t appreciate, and we’d like to keep them on the friendly side.

If I have already patched .dll files, VistaGlazz (last version) always want to reboot. But I don’t need it, I only want to patch .msstyle file. It is possible to skip .dll patching?

i am currently using vista sp2 and before this i am using older version of vistaglazz and it works well. when i switch over to vista sp2..i try to download the latest vistaglazz 1.2 as the older version is not compatible anymore. but somehow,.vistaglazz 1.2 also doesn’t work with my vista sp2 system. this is the messages that i got.
your system files are different from the ones expected by vistaglazz. this could be caused by microsoft updates and or other applications.
can you tell me how to solve this problem?
btw, i install vista dreamscene using standalone application and i don’t know if that is the problem.

Hi. i already have VistaGlazz 1.1 but how do i upgrade to 1.2? Do i just need to download 1.2 and install it?
it says ‘your system files are corrupt. fix these files first.’ well which system files is it talking about and how can i fix them?
by the way i installed a stupid vista theme, i didn’t like it so i uninstalled it but the icons haven’t changed to default vista icons. could that be the problem? please help!

Thanks for such a wonderful utility program, works fine in Vista Ultimate Portuguese edition sp2. I have a question, for sure you already answer, but any way, is any chance you do it compatible for windows 7 rcm ?

But I keep getting the Trouble? & Reboot message, when i press F2 i get this messange: “A reboot is required” and some of the dll files are in its original state, and one of them is patched; even if i reboot my computer still gets the same message.
I unistalled SP2 with patched files and when i re-installed SP2 got the Trouble?-Reboot message, Dou yo have any idea?

I downloaded the vistaglazz recently, and whenever i click on the coloured icon, and click on patch files, i get an error message saying that my system files are corrupt!!
Please tell me what i should do

Hello I have a question. Will VistaGlazz 1.2 work if you have service pack 1? Also, should I copy my current .theme files to a backup first, too?

I just got three updates from MS for my Vista. Now it does not work anymore *cry*
thx for vistaglazz 1.2 .when a window is maximized it is transparent but u see when it is minimized it goes away including the taskbarand the start menu is never trnasparent .
i want to kno if that is just because i have vista home basic sp2 and that i need to update it to aero or if vistaglazz only works for maximized windows?
